THE

CAUSEWAY COASTAL

ROUTE

Welcome to the Causeway Coastal Route.....here you will find over forty locations researched, photographed and compiled by Art Ward. A designated way-marked  drive around the coast of Northern Ireland between Belfast and Londonderry with nine shorter scenic loop drives. It is approximately 120 miles (190 km) in length and merges with the ' Wild Atlantic Way ' at Londonderry (Muff), and the ' Mourne Scenic Route ' at Belfast. The landscape varies from seashore to mountain tops, busy cities to sleepy hamlets and coastal harbours. The main route follows an  A class (two lane) road which leaves both cities on dual carriageways. Minor single lane roads are only encountered on some of the scenic loop drives.

To experience the drive with time to visit several of the main attractions and also to explore one or two scenic loop drives you should allow three to five days. Having said that, it is possible to drive it in a day if that is all the time you have.  To navigate this website use the 'tap for menu' at the top of this page and on subsequent pages ( tap to open / tap to close).
