Bann Valley

Bann Valley Scenic Route

Length of Drive
 26 miles / 42 kilometers

35 miles / 56 kilometers (Visiting Ballymoney)

Route Description

The Bann Valley Scenic Route is a two way (lined) 'B' road all the way.  If you decide to visit Ballymoney then you will drive on some smaller roads cutting back to the scenic drive but these are still  two way. The route is signposted at the two major roundabouts either side of the river Bann on the Coleraine bypass. It is definitely an enjoyable drive through a rural landscape and a change from the landscape you encounter along the coast, it also has many heritage attractions. On the designated route Ballymoney is left out which I personally think was a huge mistake as it is one of the oldest market towns in County Antrim having a rich culture, history and heritage to explore including a museum, it is also a major rural shopping town with some fine architecture and a unique ambiance.
