Giants Causeway

Giants Causeway
The Giants Causeway and Headlands are designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in the criteria of Natural Landscape, one of two in the UK, the other being the Jurassic Coast, Dorset, England. The site which is managed by the National Trust was inscribed in 1986. The majestic cliffs and inaccessible bays of the causeway coast combine with myth and legend to inspire but look carefully upon this landscape and you will see the remnants of another reality. Isolated ruins, kelp walls and shoreline fields bear testament to a harder life of subsistence farming and fishing endured along these shores by generations past.
