The Causeway Coastal Route is an exceptional 120 mile drive around the north coast of counties Antrim and Londonderry through some of the most spectacular scenery in Ireland. Along the way you will find many places to discover, explore and enjoy which include small villages, old harbours and scenic viewpoints. The route is still under developed in regards to tourism, so you are not going to find a craft shop every few miles like other seasoned tourist areas, though if you look you will be able to find a few gems. There are nine additional scenic drives which form part of the Causeway Coastal Route experience. These are clearly signposted on the route and although they will add to your stay time in the Northern Ireland, they all have something special to offer.
You will find plenty of places to eat, sleep as well as activities to do along the way , many of these can be found linked from the homepage.
This section of the website looks at some other locations worthy of a visit and from a more personal viewpoint, some of these are close to the Causeway Coastal Route and others require a detour away from the main route. Sometimes it is the unexpected places you find that can leave you with the most memorable experience. So take your time and explore.
To give you a taster of some of the locations visit the facebook page where I frequently post images taken along the route. For those who would like to read first hand accounts of the road journey from those who have done it, try the trip advisor page linked from the About Page.
