Bushmills is a designated conservation village and gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage site at the Giant's Causeway, home to the Old Bushmills Whiskey Distillery and two miles away from Dunluce Castle. The conservation status relates to the architectural integrity which comprises of over 80 listed buildings. The village has a self-guide heritage trail with finger signages, QR coded plaques at nineteen locations and several information/village map panels. There is also an exceptionally beautiful park area beside the river Bush which once powered seven mills, two of which have been renovated with water wheels turning.
